Minimal frames. Maximum feeling.
We are a Canadian photo studio honing silence into story. Lumina is where attention becomes an image — stripped back, precise, and deeply human.
Mission
To render honest photographs that breathe — crafted with restraint, intention, and trust. We make space for the subject so viewers can feel the air between moments.
- Human-first direction and gentle pacing on set.
- Light as architecture: we shape it, then step back.
- Minimalism not as lack — but as clarity.
Ethos
We embrace constraints. A limited palette, one lens longer than expected, a single window at noon. By removing noise, we invite presence. The result is photography that ages with grace.
Our minimalist approach
We carry less so we can listen more. A single key light. One anchor colour. Fewer directions. It’s surprising how much shows up when you stop asking for it.
- Light disciplineEvery source gets a reason or it leaves the set.
- Material honestyLet surfaces be themselves — grain, wrinkle, edge.
- TempoBreathe between frames so meaning can appear.
